Emilia-Romagna borders the Veneto and Lombardia regions to the north, Piedmont and Liguria on the west, Tuscany directly south, and the Marche and independent state San Marino on the southeast.

Bologna : Has one of the country’s great medieval cityscapes, red-brick palazzi, Renaissance towers and arcaded porticoes. Has lively markets in the centre of the town
Brisighella: Has a fortress Rocca Manfrediana, the Clock Tower and the Monticino Sanctuary. In summer, there is a three week long medieval festival.
Faenza: known for faience, a type of tin glazed earthenware pottery also known as majolica. Faenza is of Roman and Etruscan origin.
Ravenna: Producer of religious mosaic arts from the 5th and 6th centuries. Dante's tomb is also here. Ravenna has eight UNESCO world heritage sites. .
Rimini : the capital of Italian seaside tourism and nightlife, one of Italy's most popular beach resorts and one of the largest in Europe.
Ferrara : A walled Renaissance city with many examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
